.Nearly a year
But here I am.
Guess I must have gotten pretty occupied with mundane things and just things, in general.
Perhaps, my journey starts now.
I fear what's ahead but yet excited about it.

.Sek Chor Le** (dialect)
Esp when you're trying to concentrate and enjoy the show. Then they just keep talking.
Good! Keep quiet!

Don't assume.
Things aren't what they seem to be...
They love their daughter so much - how can they abuse her?!
- which often deems quite true about people and their behaviour.

.what a headache!
well.... finding a house is easy - only when you have like tons of money.
but IF you're finding a place that is like..... heavily subsidised by our dear Govt.
It's so freaking difficult!
ONE major thing is - you got to be married! Eh... it kills the romance man.... I think majority of the ladies are married in this manner:
"Hey, i just saw a great unit. let's go apply for it!"
"You and me? Err.... okay"
Ta-daaaa! You have just agreed to get married. No need flowers, proposals, rings and whatever ambience.
It can happen in the car while he's driving, on the bed watching tv, buying groceries (if you guys are like stay-homies), or even when you guys are walking your dog!
Why?!
Anyway back to the troubles in getting a house of your own:
Firstly, it's the freaking Q - you seriously got to 'fight' with like thousands (and it's reallly THOUSANDS - see the 's'?) of people who wants to get their hands on those flats.
Secondly, procedures and more procedures. You got to check if you're eligible for the HDB loan, or if you're not getting HDB loan, finding pte bank loans is another problem.
Thirdly, they say you get grants... but that's like only for people with income less than 1.5k gross. C'mon.... will a family with a gross income of 1.5k even get a 4 rm or 5 rm flat? Sigh! And I was so happy thinking that we might be eligible for one, in the future!
Haiz..... now I regret why I haven't started saving at a young age. Else ... we could have considered the Peak at TPY, or even the nice Parc Lumiere at Simei.
If I'm not wrong, DBSS (Design Build and Sell Scheme) flats are built like condo units without the condo facilities. Which - I seriously do not mind.
And the prices are like crazy... when will it ever go down?! *agony*
700k for a unit at TPY - that's so freaking mad!
And I just saw the news - Parc Lumiere is priced around 400k - 500k. And that's not even an EC!
Hoping by the time I eyed something that I can afford - prices are much much reasonable!
Nothing too fancy (must be practical), with those huge windows up til the floor, a nice balcony, a huge kitchen (a definite MUST), a spacious service yard!
Oh and of course! most importantly - nice neighbours! I had enough living in a ghetto-like place!
*dreams.....*

.Obedience Course for Huey
Omg, my dog snores! And the funny thing is, he snores the exact same way as V!
Just last night, V and me took out a small rod (that was used for hanging stuff) and let Huey train in the room. And he jumped over and over and OVER the rod! I hope Sunday he will do the same....

.Bad times ahead
I was just reading an email sent by my friend and it was about some financial advice by Warren Buffet.
Thought I can just share it and we can all learn from it. Enjoy!
Our happiness is diluted and our peace is threatened by the financial illness that has infected our families, organizations and nations.
Everyone is desperate to find a remedy that will cure their financial illness and help them recover their financial health.
They expect the financial experts to provide them with remedies, forgetting the fact that it is these experts who created this financial mess.
Every new year, I adopt a couple of old maxims as my beacons to guide my future.
This self-prescribed therapy has ensured that with each passing year, I grow wiser and not older.
This year, I invite you to tap into the financial wisdom of our elders along with me, and become financially wiser.
* Hard work: All hard work bring a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.
* Laziness: A sleeping lobster is carried away by the water current.
* Earnings: Never depend on a single source of income. [At least make your Investments get you second earning]
* Spending: If you buy things you don't need, you'll soon sell things you need.
* Savings: Don't save what is left after spending; Spend what is left after saving.
* Borrowings: The borrower becomes the lender's slave.
* Accounting: It's no use carrying an umbrella, if your shoes are leaking.
* Auditing: Beware of little expenses; A small leak can sink a large ship.
* Risk-taking: Never test the depth of the river with both feet. [ Have an alternate plan ready ]
* Investment: Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
I'm certain that those who have already been practicing these principles remain financially healthy.
I'm equally confident that those who resolve to start practicing these principles will quickly regain their financial health.
Let us become wiser and lead a happy, healthy, prosperous and peaceful life.

.New Found Love
I had a fun time in HK! Will update the pics here soon. But my facebook has them! Lalala… Anyway I’m just too lazy to put it all up for now… So le chey!
But what I really want to announce to the whole world – I found my new love!!!
..
.
.
No, I didn’t ditch V for a new guy. Don’t think I will…. for now.
*raises brow* hahahah…. Just kidding la!
I simply had another guy in my life! Sounds like some scandal that I’m having, right?
The best part is V loves him too! I love him too!
Aww… so cute, right! If you don’t like dogs or this breed, you must still say that it’s cute!
Anyway I have sorta given up trying to snap a nice shot of him – cos’ he can never keep still! He zooms around when I’m trying to take a shot. And he keeps still when we’re not taking pictures of him! Na…bei… haahhahaha
Huey – the English Spaniel. Well, that’s what they claim him to be. I heard from Ed that his might not be a purebred ACS. And V suspects he might be an ACS too… But be it an English or American – he’s still an adorable pup~And the name is pronounced as Hue-wee. Not Ah Huey...
We got him from Pet Movers. Although there has been negative talks about them – but this pup was really a gem from that place! V says it like my SUPER belated birthday gift.
Oh well~ you can’t get a dog and say it’s a gift.
I’m just so glad we got him and not other breeds like the beagle (hyper), cavalier (gets a lil’ ugly & expensive), poodle (hyper and noisy) or Italian greyhound (not very adorable).
He’s like an angel and a devil at the same time! Don’t know where to place him. At the pet shop, he was like “awww… so shy”. The moment he reached our place – wah~ he gets more and more active as the days go. Getting used to us, I guess.
And so especially cute when he chase the squeaky ball and he always seem to like, understand what we’re talking about. He barks when we talk. And only when we talk! Hahaha… getting into the conversation with us.
And just the third day I got him, I was down with a really really bad headache. You know – those that you can’t even move or talk (even the clock ticking is so deafening). ‘Cos it hurts so much to do anything. You just feel like dying!
When V called me to check on the dog and me – the moment I mentioned his name “Huey”, he started barking!
Hahha… must be saying, “talking about me, right? Don’t think I don’t know”
LOL! Okay, I was being lame.
Honestly – I still like the name “Thomas"
K la~ Huey it is!
We'll be bringing him to the vet this Saturday and
to end this post with a short video of him barking in action!
